We are so happy to welcome you to Yacumama. This pristine place offers a deep immersion into nature - just being here connected to the pure energy of the land and waters is healing in itself.
The space has been created to bring community together, for hosting our immersions, and for hosting other experiences that are in alignment with our values. If you would like to bring a group, please reach out to us.
We are passionate about creating spaces and experiences that allow people to connect with themselves, nature, and each other on a deeper level. You can find our current schedule below as well as open dates for you to create an experience at Yacumama.
Yacumama means Mother of the Waters in Quechua. Surrounded by lush verdant mountains, the land is blessed with vast ocean vistas and abundant spring water that feeds a creek on the west, flowing parallel to a river with cascades and swimming holes on the east.
About half of the nearly 100 acres is forest, home to abundant wildlife with mature trees and incredible biodiversity. We have ocean breezes throughout the day and cool air from the lush green mountains that descends in the evenings.
One of the things that makes experiences at Yacumama special is to get to commune with the Grandmother Ceiba tree. This wise ancient being is said to be somewhere between 500 and 1000 years old. It is beautiful to make offerings and introduce yourselves to the spirits of the land in the beginning of your time here. It also a great place to have your group enter a space of silence and listen to the spirits of nature and the grandmother tree.

The Wixarika people also known as the Huicholes from central Mexico are one of the few indigenous peoples that have not been colonized.
