We invite you to join us for a traditional Mayan Ceremony and Sacred Cacao, with Tata Pascual,
a spiritual guide of the Maya community in Guatemala.
Tata Pascual will share with us the Maya cosmovision, as well as, the significance of cacao within the community, exploring Maya spirituality through the lens of the Lunar calendar or Cholq’ij.
We will have the opportunity to share in the presence of the sacred fire, a fire which contains the elemental wisdom guarded by this unbroken lineage for over 5,000 years.
Under the energy of 11 Tz’i’ we connect with the spirit of justice, bringing balance and alignment through our relationship with the Divine masculine and our capacity to embody it’s virtues as a community leader, provider, and protector.
We invite guests to bring an instrument or song to share once the fire ceremony has concluded.

In this workshop we will connect with the Maya Cosmovision through the Cholq’ij, the Mayan
Lunar Calendar, through which we will come to discover ourselves within the context of this
cosmic ancestral consciousness.
Present with the energy of 12 B’atz, which speaks to our connection with the Divine through our
artistic and creative expressions, we will share an altar building activity and community
conversation, observing the sacred architecture of the Mayan altar as we attune to the wisdom
of these energies, taking time to connect with each of the 20 Nawales of the lunar calendar.

TATA PASCUAL
Tata Pascual is an Ajq’ij, guardian of the sacred fire and spiritual guide, of Tz’utujil and K’iche’
lineage. He has been serving his brothers and sisters around the world for many years, guided
by the spiritual principles of his ancestors, as well as his Mayan grandfathers and
grandmothers. He lives in one of the Tz’utujil villages on Lake Atitlán, where the Tz’utujil Mayan
culture and their ancestral Mayan language still prevail.

Tobacco Reading and Consultation (40 mins)

The Maya hold a profound relationship with the medicine of tobacco, when utilized in the form of a sacred puro, consultations may be enacted by communing with the ancestral spirit of tobacco and elemental energies of Mayan spirituality. Through the practice of saturation, one may read the energy and receive messages, as well as, communicate personal requests or other consultations, always in accordance with what is best for the individual and their path.

In the Nawal reading session with Tata Pascual, you will have the opportunity to connect with and learn more about your Nawales and how their characteristics and consciousness may influence and support your lifestyle choices, path, or way of being. These Divine energies represent facets of multidimensional understanding and it is through our connection to them that we may better relate to and understand ourselves.

Connecting with the energies of the Maya Cosmovision and Divine intelligence of the sacred fire, Tata Pascual will invoke and read the fire while you infuse your prayers of gratitude and intentions for what you would like to call into creation or release. After which he will share the reflections and messages transmitted from the ancestors and elements supporting in the connection, understanding, and flow of your energetic field.
*Please note that as we are guided by the intelligence of the sacred fire these ceremonies can last up to 2 hours, please plan accordingly. As these offerings require more time they are extremely limited in availability.

Conectándose con las energías de la Cosmovisión Maya y la inteligencia Divina del fuego sagrado, Tata Pascual invocará y leerá el fuego mientras puedes infundir tus oraciones de gratitud e intenciones por lo que te gustaría invocar a la creación o liberar. LOCATION
Yacumama is in Ojochal, a small town near the Pacific Ocean, known for its international fine dining, which is part of the Ballena (whale) Coast.
We are 30-40 minutes south of Dominical and 15-20 minutes south of Uvita, where the Envision Festival has been held for the past ten+ years.
Yacumama is a 3-4 hour drive southwest of the international airport, SJO.
From San Jose or other airports in the country you can also take a 45 minute flight on a small plane or even hire a small private plane to Quepos airport which is about an hour drive from Yacumama.
