Shipibo Master Plant Dieta

November 25 - December 5, 2024

This is a special opportunity to take part in a traditional Amazonian practice involving deep communion with specific plants, known as master plants, under the guidance of a shaman.

During the dieta we follow strict dietary and behavioral protocols, including limited social interactions, abstaining from certain foods, and maintaining energetic focus to allow the plant to teach and heal at deeper levels.

Aside from the opening and closing circles, the 10-day dieta will be held in noble silence, a practice that allows participants to dive deep into the healing work without distractions.

In this tradition we work with Ayahuasca as a part of the dieta to deepen our spiritual work and help open us to receive the more subtle teachings of the plant we are dieting. The first ceremony is to cleanse us and in the second ceremony, the plant spirit Bobinsana will be invited to “crown” the dieters, signaling the beginning of the deep communion between the participant and the master plant.

The third ceremony, the maestro will bestow an arcana on each dieter which is a protective spiritual force or shield with specific icaros and blessings of protection. The final ceremony is to close the dieta.

December 1 & 2 – Mapacho Soplados by Maestro Teo

Mapacho and the practice of soplados are deeply embedded in the Shipibo tradition, playing crucial roles in the protection, cleansing, and healing of individuals undergoing dietas. The powerful smoke of mapacho, guided by the shaman’s breath and icaros, acts as a conduit for transmitting spiritual energy, ensuring that the participant is safe, cleansed, and ready to receive the full healing potential of the following ceremonies.

December 2 – Arcana Ceremony

In the Shipibo tradition, an arcana refers to a protective spiritual force or shield that is established during the dieta. The word "arcana" itself can be understood as a cloak of energetic safeguarding that will be individually bestowed upon each participant through specific icaros and blessings of protection.

December 3 – Closing Ceremony

The fourth and final ceremony will be focused upon closing the dieta.

December 4 – Rest & Integration

This day will grant the participants an opportunity to rest, journal, cleanse in the rivers, and enjoy their final day in silence & solitude..

December 5 – Integration, Closing & Departure

After the final ceremony, we will gather for a closing circle to reflect, share, & integrate the dieta experience. There will be a vast amount of information and tools shared that will help us embody the insights & healing that we've received to be able to take them into our "daily lives".

TRUSTIMONIALS

The Shipibo Dieta opened a lifetime of discovery to deeper universal truths. The unique energetic frequencies of the plant awakened aspects of myself and my relationship to existence I otherwise would not have any awareness of. The effects are still revealing themselves years later. It was one of the most expanding experiences I’ve had the great privilege to participate in.

-Monique Claudio

The Shipibo way of deep healing and doctoring through the vibration of their icaros has supported me in some of the most profound ancestral healing. Master Plant Dietas for me have been incredible opportunities to commune with the spirits of the plant queendom and the deepest part of my being. Teo is one of my favorite maestros - he's pure love and light.

– Ixchel Munay

It was a profound honor to sit with Teo and Marina. Witnessing them as a family and receiving their Icaros and prayers brought deep healing to my soul.

I am immensely grateful for their medicine and the sacred work they do is an incredible gift.
