An Afternoon with a Dogon HIGH Priest

Many are interested in ancient Egypt, but very few are aware that the cultural and spiritual practices, ceremonies, language (Medu hieroglyphs) and day to day philosophy is still alive and thriving in West Africa. The Dogon are the preservers of this ancient Egyptian knowledge, values, and experts in realities beyond this dimension.

We will introduce the history from the Pharaohs to West Africa and delve into ancient Egyptian cosmogony and how it can be a guide for living our day-to-day lives. We will discuss how the Dogon establish relationships of reciprocity with nature, ancestors and the divine world. We will talk about the importance of spiritual and herbal cleansing and get an introduction to physical, mental, energetic and spiritual cleansing.

The Dogon have a medicine similar to rapeh or snuff, that is deeply detoxifying for the nervous system and brain. Our brain is our most fragile orgran, and the one responsible for making sure when we are elders, we can pass our wisdom down to the next generation. For this reason the Dogon see it imperative to be working with this brain cleanser on a regular basis. We will sample this together as well as talk about other important daily and monthly cleansers from West Africa.
